Your journey is my journey...
My approach to recovery is shaped by more than just professional training; it's deeply rooted in the lived experience of navigating life’s complexities. From professional burnout to late-life neurodivergent diagnoses and the path after trauma, I understand the challenges firsthand - I've been there!. I believe everyone deserves to be seen with unconditional positive regard, and my practice is dedicated to holding that space for you.

A relational path to recovery
I didn’t learn about recovery solely from textbooks or training courses. My unique approach is forged from a lifetime of professional expertise, lived experience and a wealth of personal understanding. I know what it feels like when old coping mechanisms fail.
I'm here to guide you through building a new way forward, one that resonates with your true self. My work is driven by a simple belief: everyone deserves to be seen, truly seen, without judgment, focusing on your inherent potential.

My philosophy: authentic growth
I don't see my clients as a set of symptoms to be fixed, but as unique individuals with a powerful story. My 'relational' approach means I'm right there in the trenches with you. I value authenticity, bringing my whole self to our sessions. I endeavour to work with the real you so we can navigate the way ahead with confidence and independence.

Coaching beyond Four Walls
Since being a child, I have had a strong relationship with the natural world and the wildlife that live in it. Increasingly, I recognise its importance in the way that it enables and helps maintain the connection with ourselves and the world around us.
In 2017, I became a founder of the CIO charity - The Wilderness Programme - which was specifically designed to help those in recovery of mental health problems. TWP was a wonderful thing to have been involved with, however I no longer work with the charity but I continue to use nature for the benefit of myself and others.

Beyond the coaching room
When I’m not coaching, you’ll likely find me exploring the remote beauty of the Highlands of Scotland or the serene landscapes of the Lake District. I am an established and highly experienced outdoor leader - Canadian Canoeing and Fly Fishing for trout are my 'go to' activities of choice!
I am a firm believer in the healing power of the natural world—whether sitting quietly and taking in the view, a quiet hike in an open space, a day on the water, in or the grounding practice of bushcraft.
This passion for nature and discovery isn't just a hobby; it’s a core element I bring into every session we share, especially with my 'coaching beyond four walls' approach.
“Greg helped me navigate a challenging time with genuine empathy and practical tools. I truly felt seen and supported, giving me the trust I needed to move forward.”
